Melody Thornton
Melody Thornton is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and performer who first captured the world's attention as a founding member of The Pussycat Dolls, one of the best-selling girl groups in history, with over 54 million records sold globally.
As a vocalist, Melody was the group's second most prominent voice, featuring on era-defining hits including Don't Cha, Buttons and When I Grow Up across their two platinum albums PCD and Doll Domination. After parting ways with the group in 2010, she forged a bold solo path on her own terms, releasing mixtape P.O.Y.B.L. in 2012 and her critically lauded EP Lioness Eyes in 2020, drawing on her Mexican and African-American heritage to craft a sound rooted in soul, R&B and classic pop.
On screen, Melody won The Masked Singer Australia in 2022, going the entire competition undetected as "Mirrorball" before a deserved victory in the grand finale. She has also appeared on Dancing On Ice, The X Factor and The Voice.
On stage, she has headlined The Bodyguard musical as Rachel Marron, the role made famous by Whitney Houston, touring China and then the UK and Ireland to rave reviews.
Melody Thornton is a rare talent who has found, and continues to define, her own lane.
