Art Simone

Through creativity, humour, glitter and glam, Art Simone has claimed her position at the forefront of the Aussie entertainment industry. Slaying stereotypes, celebrating differences and tirelessly promoting social inclusion, Art has helped move drag from margin to mainstream, and she shows no signs of stopping.

An in-demand live performer for over a decade, Art is a dynamic stage presence, media personality and social media powerhouse. She first won over audiences as runner-up on Stan's RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, then returned in 2026 for Drag Race Down Under vs The World, taking out four challenge wins and once again finishing as runner-up.

Beyond Drag Race, Art has appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention, Would I Lie To You and the Kath & Kim reboot, made her scripted debut in the Logie and AACTA nominated ABC series In Our Blood, and hosts the award-nominated podcast Concealed with Art Simone (iHeart). She has fronted campaigns for Google, AAMI, BWS and UberEats.

Art is also a published author. Drag Queens Down Under (Affirm Press / Simon & Schuster) celebrates 30 of Australia's most prominent drag artists. As one of the country's leading LGBTQ+ game changers, Art Simone continues to push the boundaries of what drag can be and where it can go.
